The Exterior
is one aspect that is purposefully played upon by the team creating these luxury homes. Built in the traditional Thai open-plan style with characteristic high-pitched roofs and gables, the homes will be built on a number of levels. This special feature will give different and contrasting views from the sweeping windows and balconies over the buildings, gardens and beyond to the sea.

"Each home will be unique," Peter Smulders continues, "There are so many elements we can use here to contrast and enhance the ambience." The use of water from fountains and streams in the gardens will offset the distant roar of the Andaman Sea.

"The sky, the sea, the existing trees provide a backdrop, while the lush gardens, homes built in natural materials and pools sit in the midst of all this beauty," says Nenad Bratic.

With the individual pavilions interconnected by covered walkways, the overall impression is that an Ayara Baan Thai Kamala home is more a traditional Thai 'village' than a single unit. The contouring of the land plays a vital role in facilitating this feature. The natural slopes will stay untouched and merely sculpted to prepare the surf aces for building.

Interior
"We want to let the homes slowly reveal themselves as you walk through,"
says Nenad Bratic, "with every step, the interior spaces will unfold. Your eyes will catch of a changed scenery with every step you take until you reach the visual climax when at the western end the entire panorama unfolds with incredible views over the Andaman Sea.

Harmony is the underlying theme with all the Ayara Baan Thai Kamala villas. The sea, the sky, the land and the people all shape these beautiful properties. From the magnificent surroundings through to the fine detail found inside the master and surrounding pavilions, there will be a feeling of continuity.

"We spent as much time studying traditional Thai interior design as we did for the exterior," Nenad Bratic continues. "Down to the patterned carvings of the wood paneling and the teak furniture, everything corresponds to the classical style."

A modular design gives its owner the decision on how to best utilize each pavilion. Bedroom pavilions will feature their own private hot tub, located in a secluded courtyard. Guests will be well catered for with self-contained pavilions and two separate children's bedrooms. A formal dining pavilion backed up by a fully equipped top-of-the-range western-style kitchen will make dinner parties a delight.

"These homes will really come alive at night, with discreet lighting creating a sensual glow - a real treat for the senses."
